Room

For him, it is different from what is usually done in city apartments, since it has its own nuances. Firstly, stereotyping. A country house evokes certain associations, according to which we are inclined towards one design or another. Secondly, the characteristic features of the building itself.

The presence or absence of an attic, the height of the ceilings, the structural nuances of the ceilings - all this determines the nature of the finish and gives some clues in choosing a style.

Choice of design, decoration, bedroom layout

, located in the corner part of the building, “asks”. Laconic furniture, natural textiles, curtains without lambrequins and high windows. Only a matte ceiling surface with simple lamps, ordinary or built-in. The main task is to fill the interior of the bedroom in the country with light and air.

Choosing the type of finish If, while visiting a wooden house, you find massive beams under the ceiling cladding, then why not leave them open and make them a decorative element? Beams can be whitened, painted brown, or vice versa, stripped of paint, “pulling out” the natural color and texture of the wood. The space between them is leveled with putty and painted.

White color

The design of a bedroom in a country house with such a ceiling can be decorated in Mediterranean, colonial, Moroccan, Ukrainian and Russian styles. They all suggest no print. Therefore, their preferred finishing is painting over plaster or gypsum board. Made from solid wood or ceramic tiles, in shades from brown to ocher.

Do-it-yourself bedroom in the country: floor beams can be turned into interior decoration

Low rooms in a country house pose two restrictions. First - . There is only painting on plaster or a tensile structure; the hanging system will “eat up” about 10–15 cm of height, which is unacceptable in this case. The second is the choice of baguettes and window frames. They cannot be contrasting or too wide, which would visually reduce the space.

Low ceilings in the room

Regarding the sizes, everything is simple. The minimum required for comfortable operation is 10 m2. This space will fit a bed, and... Of course, the more spacious the bedroom, the better, so when designing a house you should not skimp on it.

The layout depends entirely on the size of the bedroom. Anything less than 13 m2 is subject to the rules applicable to apartments:

  • We free up the center of the room as much as possible. If it is narrow, a passage along one of the walls.
  • Leave a passage between the bed and the closet - at least 35 cm.
  • We do not place the head of the bed “facing” the window or close to the door.

Layout on the attic floor

Note:V attic floors The usable space should be used effectively. You can put a chest of drawers or a TV stand under the bevels. If there are windows in the roof, we place them under them workplace– it will be well lit.

Definitely, those who have a house in their dacha are extremely lucky. Moreover, it is not a small kennel, 3 by 4 meters, but a quite spacious building, with several rooms. One of them can also be used as a bedroom. And what kind of one!

After all, this is where you can try yourself as a designer and combine the incompatible, combine the incompatible, without fear of sidelong glances from your friends and various critical statements from your neighbors. And if you suddenly hear criticism addressed to you, you can always casually say: “This is a dacha!”

What should you consider when planning the design of a country bedroom?

Is it possible to create a beautiful and functional bedroom in a wooden house? Certainly! It can also be made in buildings made of other materials.

At the same time, when planning its interior, it is advisable to adhere to the basic principles that are advised not only by designers, but also by doctors and ecologists.

Therefore, a country bedroom should:

  • Well ventilated – have good ventilation;
  • Be sufficiently light during the day and have properly selected lighting at night;
  • Have a well-combined color scheme - it is better to avoid using bright, shiny and loud shades here;
  • When repairing and decorating, the use of natural materials is mandatory (primarily this applies to furniture).

Furniture for a country bedroom

The furniture must be made of wood (after all, you came to the dacha to breathe fresh air, and not synthetic fumes). If finances do not allow you to purchase oak furniture, you can opt for larch - products made from it are also of very high quality - they do not rot, do not dry out, are resistant to high humidity, and they do not harbor pests.

In addition, since we are talking about a bedroom, you must definitely purchase a comfortable bed, without any creaking springs (this also applies to an old spring bed, which absolutely all doctors advise to scrap). If you don’t have money for a wooden bed, you can easily make it yourself - just knock together several planed boards, put MDF sheets on them, and attach them instead of legs wooden beams. All that remains is to put a good mattress on top... Near the bed you can put an ordinary bedside table or a small table made of wood. You may also need a chest of drawers or a simple wardrobe.

Ceiling

Country bedroom and style

In addition, when starting a renovation in a country room, it is advisable to decide on the style in which it will be decorated. Designers for rooms of this type recommend country styles (another option is Provence) or shabby chic.

Country style

Regardless of which option you choose - a more sophisticated Provence or rough country, country style, which often looked out of place in the city, will definitely be in its place here. Both styles are extremely similar to each other, the only difference being in minor details: country is characterized by natural colors and lacquered furniture, while Provence wood should be painted white.

In this case, it is advisable to choose the most ordinary bed for a country bedroom, made of wood, without any frills or decorative inserts. It is imperative to install a canopy over it, which will protect against mosquitoes and midges at night.

It is best to use MDF panels for finishing the ceiling and walls - they tolerate moisture well, last a long time and look great with the style you choose.

It is better to avoid paper wallpaper at the dacha altogether, since huge temperature fluctuations and high humidity can lead to them peeling off within a year.

You can complement the rustic style with wicker floor rugs, a checkered or lace blanket, linen curtains and small flowers depicted on them; a lamp with a lampshade made of fabric material would also look appropriate.

Shabby chic style

It is quite possible to decorate a country bedroom in the shabby chic style using old, restored items (it is not for nothing that it is translated as “shabby chic”). The only necessarily new product here may be a high-quality mattress. In addition, you should initially take into account that this style, among other things, is also characterized by the presence of white color and floral patterns, so the room must be decorated in these colors.

Decorate a country bedroom in the shabby chic style as follows:

For wall decoration, fabric wallpaper with a cotton or linen top layer is usually used. It is advisable to give preference to wallpaper with stripes or light versions with floral prints.

The ceiling can be treated with the most ordinary whitewash, only adding a decorative plinth around the edges.

For the floor, you can purchase an inexpensive light-colored laminate, and put ordinary carpet runners on top.

Find a bed according to the ad, sand it thoroughly (so that it looks old and shabby), then varnish it and place it in the room in a pre-designated place.

On both sides of the bed you will need to place several stools, sanded in the same way, which will replace bedside tables without any problems.

The wardrobe can be replaced with a very ordinary crossbar, positioning it in such a way that it “hides” behind the open front door. If desired, it can be covered with a partition.

Hang the most ordinary tulle and several curtains made of natural fabric on the windows.

You will need to install an old floor lamp as a lighting fixture, and hang several sconces above the bed.

We are setting up a dacha. Various bedroom design options

Let's look at each of the most popular options in more detail to help you make a choice.

Country style

When designing a bedroom in the country, many people confuse such trends as Provence and country, or, simply put, rustic. This is due to the fact that they have a common basis, but the details are significantly different.

We will not delve into the refined French Provence, but will focus on something more suitable for domestic country houses rustic version of the room design.

The main thing in any rest room is the bed - it is around it that the entire interior is arranged.

For a rustic style, you should choose the following type of model:

  • wooden;
  • simple;
  • without design frills.

Advice. As experts recommend, you should pay attention to an oak bed - this type of wood can withstand sudden temperature changes and high humidity, which is typical for country houses that are not heated in winter. A good option would be a model made of larch - this tree does not rot, does not dry out, and does not attract insects.

The rustic version of the interior involves the use of a varnished wood bed.

It is also possible to make your own bed, for which you need:

  • pine bars for legs;
  • planed smooth boards;
  • MDF sheets for the headboard.

There should be no problems with the selection of curtains for the windows:

  • regular tulle;
  • cotton curtains;
  • linen curtains.

Naturally, the curtains should also be in harmony with the overall color scheme. The best choice would be light-colored models with small, or better yet, small flowers.

As you can see, creating a shabby chic style interior is not difficult, so don’t let such a wonderful word scare you!

In conclusion

A bedroom is a special room, and therefore you should not neglect its design, even if we are talking about a room in the country. The rest room should be as comfortable and cozy as possible, offering complete rest and relaxation, even if you go out of town to grow fruits and vegetables on your plot of land, and not just to relax and laze around in the lap of nature ().

Design country house on a modest budget - a task with many unknowns for a perfectionist. Thrift and simplicity, wood and textiles, grandmother’s inheritance and Swedish design are the quick solution. We learn from Olga and Andrey Chainikov.

On the picture:

Good taste replaces big expenses. The interior of a country house bedroom is a wide field for the designer’s imagination.

Information about the apartment: bedroom in country house in outskirts of Moscow.

Customer wishes: budget interior.

A beautiful interior does not necessarily mean a big budget. The interior of a bedroom in a country house, decorated by decorators Olga and Andrey Chainikov, is proof of this. There are no expensive fabrics, no pretentious furniture, no complex decorations, although the room looks stylish and cozy. The bedroom in a private house is made in a rustic style that is organic to a dacha. Textiles play the main role in this project - it is due to them that the room looks cute and original, and restored Soviet furniture gives the interior a retro charm.

The emphasis in bedroom coloring is on shades of blue color- in combination with white it creates a cheerful morning atmosphere. Wooden walls in light colors fill the room with warmth and air, and embroidery and lace self made make it cozy.

Textiles play the main role in the interior. Basically, budget fabrics from the IKEA range and textiles that the owners brought from their travels are used here. The bedspread on the bed is knitted by a Cuban craftswoman, and the openwork tablecloths on the bedside tables were bought in Prague.

An interesting design idea is a fabric headboard hung on a cornice like a curtain. An elegant and inexpensive solution that gives the interior comfort and originality. If you get tired of the color, it’s easy to change the fabric.

The original rustic lampshade is an ordinary plastic IKEA lamp with blue tape glued on it. In such a casual interior, you can easily extend the wire and hang the lamp on a hook where you need it. A light blue ceiling color will, of course, make the room a little lower, but for a bedroom this is not so important. But it looks very stylish.

A bed, a metal shelf, round tables, lanterns and boxes - all this is a budget Swedish design, well-chosen and interestingly played out. The Soviet-era chairs were “inherited” by the owners. They were reupholstered, painted, and now we have a fashionable vintage item for practically nothing.

The old “grandmother’s” closet was also gathering dust at the dacha (judging by the nameplate on the back, it once stood in the offices of the Central Department Store). The upper panels were covered with fabric, and a stenciled design was applied to the lower panels; everything else about the cabinet is original.

An old sewing machine with the proud inscription “State Sewing Machine of the USSR,” along with a doll and an embroidered napkin, became part of the installation on the cabinet. Thanks to such details, the interior of the bedroom in the house looks lived-in and cozy.

Cheap bedrooms for a summer residence

The interior of a bedroom in a country house can be no worse than in a city apartment. Yes, and dachas, in general, are different. This is not always a “hut on chicken legs” - a full-fledged Vacation home, in which they do not live permanently, but only relax from time to time, can also be called a dacha.
Naturally, the scale of the building, as well as its decoration, depend on the material capabilities of the owners. But believe me, there is a design option for a country house to suit every pocket. The main thing here is not the price, but imagination and the ability to work with your own hands.

Wood for bedroom decoration

It is quite logical that a person, going to the bosom of nature, strives to create an environment around him that is most appropriate to it. The main natural material is wood, and it is used both for the construction of the house itself and for its decoration.
So:

  • Composite materials are increasingly being used for exterior cladding, because wood, which is constantly exposed to weather, is not very durable. Interiors are a completely different matter.
    Natural wood for finishing rooms in a country house, can rightfully be considered the most the best option: beautiful, comfortable, and healthy.
  • The following materials are perfect for this purpose: boards, timber, various panels, lath, plywood. But if the walls of the house are built from timber or logs, even uncalibrated ones, the task is simplified as much as possible: you can use a rustic style for the design of the premises. Please note how in the interior, which is shown in the photo above, the issue of organizing a sleeping place has been resolved.
  • The interior space of a country house is often one large room, which is visually divided into dining, sleeping and living areas, without the use of constructive solutions. In this case, these are curtains (see), attached to a rod that is fixed to the ceiling beam.
  • By the way, in this interior all supporting structures are left in sight. They were given the appearance of aged wood - this effect is achieved by treating the surface chemically or mechanically.
    For example, to give wood a characteristic greenish-gray tint, its surface is treated with ammonia (ammonia).
  • To achieve some shades of yellow and red-brown, use vegetable decoctions from onion peels, the bark of some trees (alder, apple, poplar), walnut shells, and so on. As they say: everything that grows in the garden. The picture above shows another example of such wood processing.
  • I would like to draw your attention to it. Here the house was built from calibrated logs, that is, high-quality construction wood with precisely specified dimensions was used.
    Such a wall is beautiful in itself; the surface of the wood has only been etched to highlight its texture.
  • Judging by the configuration and low ceiling height, this is an attic. Bearing structures The roofs here were not left visible, but were covered with plasterboard, as were the two opposite walls.
    Wallpaper was hung on the inclined surface and the wall adjacent to it, textiles were selected according to color - the result was a simple but very elegant interior.
  • Anyone who knows how to hold a hammer and a screwdriver can decorate a dacha bedroom in this way. By the way, instead of drywall, you can use plywood or chipboard here, and instead of wallpaper, you can use fabric or self-adhesive film. In a wooden house this is done to, so to speak, “dilute” the interior a little.
  • The different shades used when painting wood, bright textiles, and small wall decor in the form of panels, photographs and framed pictures also allow you to get away from monotony. All these details can decorate a room even with simple wall decoration.
    Pay attention to how the window cornice is suspended in the above example: not horizontally, as is traditionally done, but obliquely.
  • Instead of one long cornice, they took two short ones and secured them with a “house”. As you can see, beautiful interior Expensive materials and accessories are not always made - a well-executed imagination can give an amazing result.
    Speaking of wood as an option for interior decoration home, not necessarily a country house, but also a city one, one cannot help but mention the beauty and originality of wooden ceilings.
  • This is especially true when we are not talking about a horizontal rectangular ceiling, but about the inner surface of the roof, which serves as a ceiling in houses without an attic or attics. Let’s not assert anything unfounded, let’s discuss the specific example presented below.
  • The house itself is most likely brick or block, as the walls are decorated with decorative plaster.
    Roof structures are, in any case, wooden, and they are often used in ceiling design. This house does not have an attic, thanks to which it has quite an impressive interior space.
  • All load-bearing beams covered with boards, and not with clapboard with a standard section, but with imitation timber. To decorate the ceiling, we used planed timber with a small cross-section, beautifully tinted before installation.
    The beam is mounted along all lines of refraction of the inclined surfaces of the roof, and its pleasant shade contrasts with the white-painted ceiling.

For wall decoration, similarly painted wide slats were used. And look how interesting the zoning of the sleeping area is. They took a milled beam with a longitudinal groove, and hid a ceiling cornice in it that supports the curtain.
Color solution This interior is also beyond praise. Why don't you try to do something similar in your home?

Bedroom in a brick house

  • It's easier to take it then ceramic tiles under brick or stone. The stone itself will look great: either natural or artificial.
    A similar finish is usually applied to the wall at the head of the bed, but if there is a fireplace in the bedroom, then the wall adjacent to it is covered. As for artificial stone, you can make it at home.
  • For this purpose, you can buy a ready-made dry composition and a canister of liquid silicone. Select several stones for a sample, place them in a plastic box, and fill them with silicone.
    When it hardens, you will receive a form (compound) into which you will pour the prepared solution. Although, you can also find a ready-made compound on sale. On summer cottage having an autonomous water supply, it is a pleasure to do such work.
  • You can see exactly this option for decorating a bedroom in a country house in the example above: here there is a stone wall cladding with a fireplace, and a wooden ceiling. The interior turned out to be quite ascetic, and many would have preferred a cheerful atmosphere.
  • To achieve an interesting effect, there are completely different options. For example, there are two interior styles: patchwork and kitsch, which, in fact, are a variety rustic design(country).
  • They are very suitable for decorating rooms in a country house. Patchwork is a patchwork style based on multi-colored runners and handmade blankets.
    When decorating a room in this style, not only appropriate textiles are used, but also finishing materials.
  • You can take two or three types of wallpaper and paste them in squares or stripes. For such decoration, ceramic tiles with a mosaic pattern are often used.
    It could be the same brickwork, only colored with bright rectangles. Distinctive feature kitsch style is a mixture of concepts different styles, and non-traditional color combinations - but this is not for everyone.
  • Most people still prefer calmer, classic variations. And here’s how, not quite usually, you can finish leveled walls. Nowadays it is very fashionable to perform horizontal division of the plane of the walls.
  • In principle, wooden panels can be involved in this design: they are mounted only along the lower perimeter of the walls, in one row, and above the panels the wall is usually painted. Once upon a time this was a purely office option. Gradually, wooden panels moved into living spaces; instead of paint, they began to combine wallpaper with them.

  • This division looks very beautiful, but classic panels made of natural wood Not everyone can afford it. Designers began to offer their own versions of dividing walls, using two types of wallpaper, or wallpaper with a painted surface - the main thing here is to choose the right shades.
  • With this technique you can achieve visual increase room height. If the ceilings are low, the lower part of the finishing is made darker and at a small height. You can achieve the opposite effect by doing everything exactly the opposite, which is what we see in the example given.
  • This type of wall decoration is one of the most affordable both in terms of cost and labor intensity. Who among us has not painted or glued wallpaper in our lives?
    By the way, you can do without wallpaper by using two types of paint. How to correctly combine shades of paint, how to correctly perform horizontal or vertical multi-color painting?
    Instructions and a master class from professionals will give you comprehensive answers to these questions.
  • Well-chosen wallpaper with photo printing, 3D effect, and even stretch fabric, which can be mounted not only on the ceiling, but also on the wall, can also successfully decorate the bedroom. Look how wonderfully photo wallpapers combine with wooden ceiling structure in the photo above.
    One cannot fail to note the original lighting provided by ceiling spots installed on the beam.

As you can see, there are a lot of options for decorating a bedroom in a country house.
